Success-first model - refunds are extremely rare
The analyzer and first check are free. We charge money only after we have successfully recovered your password or decrypted the file. If we do not find it, you are not billed for the success fee in the first place.
1. How pricing works
PDF Password Recovery (pdfpassword.net) operates on a strict pay-after-success model. The pipeline is:
- You upload an encrypted PDF file.
- Our GPU cluster attempts to recover the password — no charge is placed on your card during this stage.
- Only if the password is recovered and verified do we send the payment request.
- If we fail to recover the password, no payment is charged and no refund is necessary.
Because of this model, the practical refund rate is near zero: we never collect money for work we couldn't complete, and the password is verified against the actual file before you pay.
Current status: recovery release is paid after success. The PDF satellite now uses one clear $34.99 release price. There is no activation package here.
2. When a refund is possible
A refund can be issued only in one case — the password we delivered does not unlock the file. If that happens:
- Contact us within 14 days of payment at the address on the contact page.
- Include the job tracking link and a short description of what happens when you enter the password.
- If we confirm the password does not open the file, we refund 100 % of the amount charged to the original payment method within 5 business days.
3. When a refund is NOT possible
Because payment is triggered only after successful recovery, we do not issue refunds in the following cases:
- You changed your mind after receiving the working password or decrypted file — the digital service is fully delivered.
- You no longer need the file you submitted — the work was completed regardless.
- The file was uploaded without authorization and the legitimate owner contacted us later — we will cooperate with the owner, but the recovery work was already performed.
- Chargebacks without first contacting us — please reach out so we can resolve legitimate issues directly and refund if appropriate.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel a pending recovery at any time by closing the status page or emailing us the tracking link. Since no payment is charged until the password is recovered, cancellation does not produce a refund — it simply stops the job.
5. Contact
